The initiative - officially titled Implementation of effective practices for the development of students' emotional intelligence with particular emphasis on anti-discrimination activities at European universities - focuses on enhancing students’ emotional intelligence and promoting anti-discrimination efforts across European higher education institutions.

During the meeting, the project team reviewed achievements, assessed outcomes, and ensured that all goals and indicators are on track to be met. Participants emphasized that the project’s results will be sustainable, practical, and valuable for the academic community.

A highlight of the gathering was a test session of the EQUNI game, which was met with enthusiasm by teachers from the University of Groningen. Their positive feedback confirmed the game’s potential as a tool for promoting equality and inclusive education.

The team also worked on the EQUNI mobile app, which is set to launch soon. The app is designed to support personal development, empathy, and understanding of diverse perspectives, while helping users recognize and counteract everyday biases.

Preparations are also underway for the next edition of the EQUNI Summer School, scheduled to take place later this year in Faro. The event will bring together educators and students to deepen their knowledge of emotional intelligence and inclusive teaching practices.

With full commitment, the EQUNI team continues to develop practical tools and educational resources aimed at helping teachers and students across Europe foster more open, empathetic, and equitable academic environments.
