During the four-hour picnic, officially opened by the Vice-Rector for Education, Dr. Eng. Andrzej Romanowski, univ. professor, participants had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of attractions spread across five special zones: information, chillout, game, and two food courts. Visitors could enjoy international dishes prepared by TUL students, food trucks offering cuisine from around the world, yoga on the grass, team games and activities, and a photo booth.

In the information zone, in addition to substantive discussions, there were quizzes about the rules of international exchange. The entire event took place in a relaxed atmosphere, conducive to conversations, discovering new cultures, and sharing experiences related to outgoing and incoming exchanges.

The Mobility Picnic continues the idea of Mobility Week, the flagship event of Lodz University of Technology. Its main goal remains to promote outbound opportunities for students and staff and to strengthen the integration of the university's international community.

Interest in mobility topics within TUL community is growing year by year. The numbers prove it – under the Erasmus+ KA131 programme, the number of staff mobilities increased by as much as 70% between 2022 and 2023, and for the 2025/26 academic year student recruitment, 396 individuals have already been qualified. A particularly significant increase was noted in the area of short-term mobility.
