The Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics, Lodz University of Technology, in collaboration with Kodegenix and the Institute of Computer Science, Warsaw University of Technology, secured nearly 5 million zloty from the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) to develop a product quality and safety control system based on feedback collected from online sources, e.g. websites, social media, auction sites, and online stores.

More than 200 students, staff and high school students, as well as a crowd of reporters, awaited his entrance - the E1 auditorium at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science and Automation packed to capacity. Dr inż. Sławosz Uznański, a Polish astronaut candidate selected by the European Space Agency, paid a visit to his alma mater. Back in 2008, Mr Uznański graduated with honors from the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering with a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications.

Michał Krupa, PhD, is a graduate in Electronics and Telecommunications at Lodz University of Technology. He has been working at CERN for 12 years, but has not lost touch with his university. In November, he defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering.

Prof Andrzej Bartoszewicz from the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering has been elected President of the Lodz Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the term 2023-2026.

Prof Bartoszewicz is an expert in control theory and director of the Institute of Automatic Control. He belongs to a small group of 2% of the most cited scientists in the world. He has been a correspondent member of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 2016.

Among the graduates of Lodz University of Technology there is a scientist who is the second Polish person to be able to fly into space. This is Sławosz Uznański, Ph.D., who was included on the list of astronauts announced by the European Space Agency (ESA) in Paris (23 November). This choice is a great success, and it gives us satisfaction that on his way to a career in science and space, he graduated from Lodz University of Technology.
