Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, hosted a delegation from the Brazilian company Embraer – one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world. The delegation was led by Dimas Douglas Tomelin, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer. Meetings took place both at the Rector’s Office and at the Institute of Turbomachinery at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The purpose of the visit was to review the scientific and research potential of the university and to discuss possible cooperation. A key topic was the consideration of establishing an Embraer branch in Lodz.

Also participating in the meetings were: the Honorary Consul of Brazil in Lodz – Damian Biniek, Assoc. Prof. Damian Obidowski, and Michał Lipian, PhD from the Institute of Turbomachinery, as well as Tomasz Sadzyński – President of the Lodz Special Economic Zone, and Michał Sobczak – Vice President of the Management Board.
