Rector of TUL - Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik and the President of the Management Board of Alstal - Jarosław Szczupak have signed (19.01) an agreement regarding the implementation of the second stage of the investment project "Alchemium – the magic of chemistry of tomorrow. Construction of a modern conference, teaching and laboratory building for the Faculty of Chemistry of Lodz University of Technology".

The Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy has awarded Lodz University of Technology PLN 11.5 million for the thermal modernization of two university buildings. The first is the future headquarters of the Centre of Excellence in Universal Design, while the second will house a kindergarten for children of staff and students of Lodz University of Technology.

Over 1 500 places and two new majors are waiting for candidates for Master's studies at Lodz University of Technology. Admissions process begins on 31 January.
The Vice Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, Waldemar Buda, presented the Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, with funding for the thermal modernization of two buildings on the University' s campus.
Lodz University of Technology can now be visited remotely thanks to a virtual tour available in Google Street View databases. The tour includes around 560 ground and bird's eye views. Lovers of picturesque panoramas are invited to take a sky walk, which can be done by taking a virtual walk around the spaces photographed from a drone.
Cooperation between the two universities to date has involved, among other things, joint postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering, which have been completed by more than 100 graduates of the Mail School of Fire Service in Warsaw. Now, the signed agreement provides for long-term cooperation in science, research and development, as well as teaching and organisational activities.

The aim of the programme announced by NAWA, named after Stanisław Ulam, is to increase the degree of internationalization of Polish universities and scientific institutions. The programme is open to scientists with at least a PhD degree. Under the Ulam NAWA programme, 51 researchers will undertake research internships in Poland, including two at Lodz University of Technology.
