The architectural and urban planning competition 'Przestrzenie miejskie' (Urban Spaces) was addressed to a diverse audience nationwide, primarily including architects, urban planners, and individuals involved in the design of urban spaces. It was organized by the Office of the City Architect, with the results announced at the end of last year.

TUL partners in the environmentally-oriented project "Life Mercury-Free" met at Lodz University of Technology to discuss the action plan for the project, for which the consortium of institutions from six different countries has been granted nearly €1.4 million from The LIFE Program, a European Climate Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency’s funding instrument.

As part of the STER programme, the series "Steer your future with IDS" is being launched, in which you will be able to get to know the Doctoral School of Lodz University of Technology better and learn more about the inspiring stories of doctoral candidates.
Lodz University of Technology and the Medical University of Lodz conduct many collaborative projects and research, which is why the rectors of the two universities resolved last year to formally recognize these shared efforts. They announced a competition for the best publication co-authored by scientists from TUL and UMed. Now scientists have been invited to participate in the second edition of the competition.

President Andrzej Duda has conferred the title of professor of engineering sciences in the discipline of materials engineering on dr. hab. inż. Jacek Sawicki, of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Lodz University of Technology. The decision was signed on December 21, 2022.
Prof. Irena Wasiak is an alumna of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, TUL (now EEIA) and since her graduation has worked at TUL's Institute of Electrical Power Engineering. She was awarded a doctoral degree in 1987 and a postdoctoral degree in technical sciences in 2007. On December 21, 2022, by the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland, she was awarded the title of professor.
