A student of Interdisciplinary Doctoral School, TUL is working on a linguistic database method with applications in cyber security, medicine, and commerce.
Together with Prof. Adam Niewiadomski, she co-authored an article published in the Journal of Applied Computer Science. She was also awarded Minister of Science and Higher Education scholarship for outstanding scientific achievements.
On 26th February, the President of the Republic of Poland conferred the title of professor of engineering sciences on dr hab. inż. Jerzy Zgraja of the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering (WEEIA).

Professor Jan Awrejcewicz has received an honorary doctorate degree from the Prydniprovsky State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (PSACEA) in Ukraine. This is the first TUL honorary doctorate degree conferred in an online ceremony.
Aleksandra Wilczyńska began her studies in IT, but since childhood she has been passionate about space. Together with a group of students from the Innspace team, she created a project of a base on the Moon, which took 4th place in the international Moon Base Deisgn Contest organized by the Moon Society from the USA.
Increasing interaction and relations between the lecturer and the student, as well as increasing motivation during online learning, are the main objectives of a project which received EUR 300 000 in funding. This is the highest amount awarded in the Erasmus+ programme.
Another edition of the oldest festival in Lodz and one of the biggest tourist song reviews in Poland is behind us. For the second time the YAPA fans met online. Preliminary statistics show that this year's edition was viewed by over 13 thousand people from all over Poland.
Professpr Andrzej Napieralski – a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at TUL (currently Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering). He receives recognition from the international scientific community. He cooperates with prestigious foreign centres. Many of his achievements pertain to research in the field of microelectronics, nanoelectronics and thermal phenomena in electronic elements and systems.
Professor Jacek Banasiak – a graduate of mathematics at the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics (currently Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics), TUL (1981). His main area of scientific interest is the theory of differential equations. For many years he has been among the world's leading specialists in this field.
Food and nutrition technology is a very broad field, and research results improve the quality of life of all consumers. Dr Antolak, from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, specialises in the use of microorganisms in the production of fermented soft drinks. He also conducts research aimed at preventing their microbiological contamination. He is a holder of a scientific award of the Division IV of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for his doctoral dissertation "Bacteria Asaia spp. as a new contaminant of functional beverages" and 8 papers thematically related to this dissertation.
On March 30, 2021 International Cooperation Centre of TUL organize Mobility Day - action-packed day, full of attractions and valuable information about mobility for both students and employees of Lodz University of Technology.
Dr Zywilla Fechner from the Institute of Mathematics at TUL received the 2020 Award of the Polish Women in Mathematics Society (PTKM). Her series of publications on long-term research on problems derived from hypergroup theory was appreciated.
