Jakub Filipek, a biotechnology student at Lodz University of Technology, has been awarded the BioLAB Program under the patronage of the Fulbright organization for the academic year 2024-25. Since July, he has been undertaking a one-year internship at The University of Chicago, ranked 10th among the best universities in the world according to the 2023 Shanghai Ranking.

The International Cooperation Centre at Lodz University of Technology (TUL) is spearheading the innovative project ACE – Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education. This project, developed in collaboration with partners from Ireland, Serbia, Estonia, Denmark, and Germany, aims to strengthen social responsibility of higher education institutions and foster social innovation and the development of local communities. With the support of the Erasmus+ program, the university has secured €400,000 for its implementation.

Education reform, addressing key factors for advancement, and mentoring are essential components of this process. By fostering synergies across all levels of education and industry, the goal is to increase the recruitment and retention of women in STEM programs and promote gender equality through targeted activities.
