Dr hab. inż. Anna Diowksz, TUL prof., Institute of Fermentation Technology and Microbiology at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, is a specialist in fermentation technology particularly interested in technologies used to improve the production of bread.
Adam Niziołek, who recently graduated from TUL with a first degree in Architecture, received two awards for his thesis on The Evolution of space: Narutowicza Street in Łódź (Ewolucja przestrzeni na przykładzie ulicy Narutowicza w Łodzi). The thesis was supervised by dr. inż. arch. Aneta Tomczak. Adam Niziołek is currently pursuing a second degree in Architecture also at Lodz University of Technology.

Strefa Biznesu (The Business Zone) has grown bigger yet with the addition of another teaching room sponsored by a company cooperating with the Faculty of Organization and Management. The opening of the laboratory, equipped and furnished by Geis PL sp. z o.o., was attended by quite a large number of students who were introduced to the prospects of internships and apprenticeships by Dorota Wójcik, the company's head of HR.

In the 3rd edition of the international SHENG competition for Polish-Chinese research projects, the National Science Centre will fund 13 projects with a total value of more than PLN 15 million. Among them is a project from Lodz University of Technology on the remediation of contaminated land, led by Prof. Piotr Paneth.
Lodz University of Technology and the Polish Mother's Memorial Hospital - Research Institute (ICZMP) presented the results of a three-year collaborative project to advance cancer diagnosis. The conference concluding the MDB-Medical Data Bank project was held at the EEIA Faculty, with the individuals who managed that tremendous undertaking in attendance.

The reconstruction of Skorupki Street has ended. The works were done on the section stretching from Wólczańska to Stefanowskiego.thanks to the ‘ZIELONY KAMPUS - Ogród na Skorupki’ (Green Campus – Skorupki Street Garden) project proposal submitted by the academic community of our university to the Łódź Participatory Budget.

Professor Tomasz Czyszanowski from the Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics at TUL has been awarded in the National Science Center competition OPUS 24+LAP/Weave. He will carry out his innovative project in collaboration with German scientists from Technische Universität Chemnitz.
