Professor Jan Krysiński, four-time Rector of Lodz University of Technology and multidoctor honoris causa, passed away on 19 February. The Professor would have turned 90 in August.
Lodz University of Technology has been cooperating with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), a global network of higher education institutions that promotes French culture and language worldwide. The university was visited by Laure Castin, AUF's regional director for Central and Eastern Europe.

The Erasmus+ Innovation Centre InnHUB Lodz, operating in cooperation with Lodz University of Technology, has moved its activities to a newly renovated space. The new premises will provide even better opportunities to support institutions from the Lodz region in the implementation of international educational and innovation projects.

Lodz University of Technology hosted the first meeting of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities of Technology (KRPUT) in this term, chaired by Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of TUL. This event was part of the celebrations marking the 80th jubilee of the university.
Scientists from TUL will implement seven grants in collaboration with researchers from the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). They will coordinate two projects with the acronyms Waves and ECIU RC. The total funding amounts to €57,000, approximately 250,000 PLN.
Scientists from Lodz University of Technology, in collaboration with BioStar PPHU Witold Krusz, are working to produce high-quality wheat bread using sourdough. They aim for the bread to have a rich aroma and flavor while improving the traditional technological process.
