During an official visit to Taiwan, the Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, signed a cooperation agreement with National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) – one of the leading technical universities in Asia. On behalf of NCKU, the document was signed by Prof. Menu-Ru Shen, President, and Prof. Shyy-Woei Chang, Executive Vice President.

Eighteen teams were selected in the first competition of the PRIME program, announced by the Foundation for Polish Science. Among the laureates were scientists from Lodz University of Technology.
