JOB OFFER – PhD student

On the occasion of the 80th jubilee of the founding of Lodz University of Technology, a ceremonial session of the Senate was held. The program of the celebrations included a speech by the Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik. During the session, students and graduates were honored for outstanding achievements and the best diploma projects. A special part of the program was the presentation of awards by the Rector of Lodz University of Technology.

Lodz University of Technology once again confirmed its active presence on the international stage by participating in events accompanying the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. The university's presence in Japan was part of a broader strategy to promote the Lodz region as a modern, dynamic area open to international cooperation. Expo created a unique opportunity to showcase the scientific, technological, and economic potential of the region, and Lodz University of Technology – as one of its leading academic institutions – was a natural partner in this endeavor.

Prof. Beata Łuszczyńska has been elected as a member of the Council of the Mazovian Hydrogen Valley Cluster, which is a significant distinction in the context of her previous scientific achievements and her involvement in the development of hydrogen technologies and technologies supporting the development of hydrogen-based solutions, including its transport and storage. The election took place during the General Assembly of Cluster Members on May 15, 2025.

Lodz University of Technology is hosting the 35th National Convention of Deans of the following faculties: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Automation and Robotics, Cybernetics, Mechatronics, and Computer Science. The event is attended by around 140 people responsible for education and research in innovative technical fields.

Three students from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences have been selected to participate in the prestigious BioLAB 2025–26 program, which offers a year-long internship at renowned research laboratories in the United States. Lodz University of Technology is the only technical university in Poland with representatives in this year’s edition of the program.
The Vice-Rector for Student Affairs of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Witold Pawlowski, has decided to extend the scholarship payments to 10 months.

Rector of Lodz University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, hosted a delegation from the Brazilian company Embraer – one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world. The delegation was led by Dimas Douglas Tomelin, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer. Meetings took place both at the Rector’s Office and at the Institute of Turbomachinery at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Rukudzo Chihota, a second-semester student of Smart Manufacturing at the International Faculty of Engineering of Lodz University of Technology, presented the results of her research on bactericidal composites at the prestigious WE Local Prague 2025 conference. The event, organized by the Society of Women Engineers in Prague, attracted female engineers and technology specialists from around the globe.
